The process of creating a website starts very simply:
Conversation and Ideas
Us getting to know your business and you getting to know us. Because once we both understand what we are trying to achieve through your website we can advise you as to how best to do it.
Planning
We'll write it all down so you know what you're getting, draw a sitemap so you know how it all fits together and give you costs so you know what you'll be paying.
Agreement
Because it's no use having a blog if you are never going to update it! Once you are happy with everything we move on to...
Wireframes and Designs
A key aspect to getting the website design right is how the navigation works, where the buttons sit, where your telephone number will be. Wireframes help to ensure that the information architecture of the website is perfect before the designers take over.
And then the designers arrive with their crayons and colour it in giving you a chance to finally see what the site will look like when it is released into the wild. After a couple of minor tweaks we will be ready for the biggest stage.
Website Development
This is when the programmers, those wise Gods amongst men, weave their binary magic and program your website. Using a variety of tools including planks of solid English Oak, Lego and an old Commodore 64 computer they work tirelessly to ensure the website is as brilliant in its functionality as it is beautiful in its design.
As if this wasn't enough their mission is underpinned by their prime directive : to ensure the site is as easy to update as possible. After all you will be paying us to do the complicated parts.
Mucking About
Also known as 'testing'. Once the site is built we try to break it. And then we fix the broken bits. We keep doing this until we are confident that there are no broken bits left. Then we give it to you and invariably you'll find something we missed so we fix that too.
Publish It
Once we're both happy the site is tip top then we transfer it up to the real live internet where it will run free, be visited by your customers past, present and future.
